Sue & Leonard Thompson Kansas City, MO. Parents of Garrison (47) In the picture Left to Right: Our son Lance, Sue, Leonard, and daughter Kara This picture was taken Christmas day 1999, 2 days after we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. Leonard taught school, primarily psychology, for 30 years and retired in 1983. We owned and I operated a book store for 22 years which we sold in 1986. From that time until 3 years ago we ran a mail order business and attended shows selling paper collectibles (comics, books, magazines, pulps, pin up material, etc). Now Leonard occasionally still sells to a few old customers, but mostly we put material in booths at an antique mall only 5 minutes from home. Since Garrison's death my health has declined drastically. Leonard, amazing man that he is, although 80 and with a dissected aorta, is now our primary care giver. Garrison was our middle child and lived in Glendale, CA where he worked in the entertainment field. He was diagnosed as bi-polar many years ago. Two years before his death his medicines seemed to quit helping him and he stayed in a constant state of depression. He ended his life on September 15th, 2000 by an overdose of prescription medicines. We miss him terribly. |
